It's a long way to the top

I'm really glad that I live here in Cluj in this new building block, right next to a main road that runs through the middle of the city. And that's not even meant cynically. I was lucky enough to grow up on a farm as a child. And yet, or perhaps precisely because of this, I was always fascinated by these huge, gray blocks. Especially at Christmas time, when every window was lit up with neon Christmas lights, I couldn't take my eyes off them. So much life, so many stories surrounded by concrete.elevatorHere in my block, I was particularly fond of the elevator right from the start. Hidden behind a small gray door was an even smaller elevator in which two people had trouble finding a seat. However, it is licensed for six. The ride up to the eighth floor was a bit like a journey: you slowly watched the floors pass by as the door didn't close all the way. The sound was more like a submarine being pulled by an old, groaning whale, but unfortunately, after only three weeks of underwater travel, the elevator is now closed. So I have to climb eight floors on foot several times a day. The song by ACDC keeps coming to mind: "It's a long way to the top (if you wanna rock'n'roll)".https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWkP1mqUgOoIchSo I hope that the elevator will still have some of its old charm when it reopens at some point. But until then, I'll keep training for the stair climbing championship. Sponsored by:http://www.erasmusplus.de/typo3temp/pics/logo_erasmus_ece4e16e90.png
