A group of 17 Geography/Tourism students from Ternopil Pedagogical University, Ukraine, were our guests.
As part of their DAAD study trip through Germany, they visited our faculty to find out about study opportunities at our university, the "Tourism Management" degree program and the region. After an introductory presentation by Prof. Dr. Pflicke, our students presented important tourist attractions in the Neißeland region in English. In a subsequent round of talks, both sides informed each other about their life at the university and ideas about their future. The current political situation in Ukraine was also discussed. Here too, the language of communication was English. The degree of the visit to Germany was marked by a tour of the old town of Görlitz, before the Ukrainian guests set off on their journey home, not without cordially inviting the seminar group to a return visit to Ternopil.
