The EU GDPR came into force on 25.05.18. This gives the EU member states a uniform data protection law.

What does this mean for Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences? In his presentation at the Görlitz site, Prof. Wendt, Data Protection Officer (DPO) of the HSZG, will explain the basics of data protection.

In addition to the rights of those affected, the obligations of the operators of data processing procedures will be presented. The differences to the previous data protection under the SächDSG will also be highlighted. Prof. Wendt will also outline the basic requirements for information security as a prerequisite for data protection.

The lecture is aimed at the heads of structural units (members of the Rectorate, Deans, Institute Directors and Heads (of divison)) who are responsible for data protection and information security as well as all interested employees.
