The activities of the job holder (m/f/d) include in particular the following tasks:

• Analyzing and evaluating existing attack patterns and attack vectors with a focus on critical infrastructures ,
• Modeling the structure and impact of identified IT attacks and anomalies on the supply situation,
• Modeling and synthesis of simple IT attacks based on defined attack scenarios,
• Modeling and synthesis of coordinated IT attacks to simulate complex attacks (business and process IT),
• Collaboration in the test-driven development and verification of the attack simulation including integration of additional anomalies such as software updates and development of a test strategy for the validation of the attack simulation,
• Collaboration in the validation of the developed attack simulation using test data from the real system and integration of the attack simulation into the real-time co-simulation platform.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• University degree in the field of computer science,
• Specialized knowledge in the field of IT security and cyber security,
• Knowledge of anomalies and their impact,
• expertise in risk analysis and assessment in relation to critical infrastructures, modeling techniques (e.g. UML, Petri nets),
• Domain knowledge in business IT and process IT,
• Knowledge of system analysis and modeling.

In addition, the following are desirable

• Knowledge of attack modeling techniques,
• knowledge of different types and structures of IT attacks and attack scenarios as well as
• a good command of English.
