Imagine: the snow is falling outside, the wind is blowing and you're sitting at home with nothing to do. Is there anything better than sitting in a cozy cinema, watching the latest Christmas movie and snacking on a big bag of popcorn? Certainly not!
Just a few steps away from the train station, you will find yourself in front of the largest cinema in the city - the Filmpalast Görlitz. In addition to this one, there are also two smaller ones in the heart of the city, which are a little more private and therefore even more comfortable!
If you present a valid student ID at the Filmpalast, you can attend a screening for as little as 9 euros. A real bargain!
Especially when you consider that the cinema has been completely modernized and the interior design will amaze anyone. Nevertheless, some of the old charm has been retained. A total of 5 movie theaters were left in their historical state, while 4 theaters were completely renovated.
Still not convinced? In addition to the impressive architecture, there is a wide range of films, the latest technology and state-of-the-art sound systems!
In addition, there is an exclusive sneak preview every Thursday from 8 pm - for the real movie fans among you! This gives you the opportunity to see a brand new movie before its German theatrical release. Which movie it is remains a surprise so far! If you still want to get a first impression, visit the sneak archives on the cinema website.
So, let's go - off to the movie theater!
