As part of the university's traditional ceremony, the Vice President for Education, Prof. Heidger, and the Dean of Faculty W, Prof. Straßberger, bid farewell to the graduates of the Housing and Real Estate Management, Business Administration and Industrial Engineering courses.

Many of our former students accepted the invitation to the graduation ceremony and experienced a worthy event.

This year's Al Makhawi Prize for outstanding academic achievements was awarded during the disenrolment (from university) ceremony. This year's prize went to Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. (FH) Laura Uhlig. Ms. Uhlig studied industrial engineering with us and graduated at the top of her year. The Dean of Faculty W, Prof. Straßberger, honored the achievements of Ms. Uhlig, who unfortunately could not be present in person.

The 2018 prizes of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences Sponsors' Association were also awarded during the ceremony. Ms. Marlen Krause, Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. (FH) from our faculty, who also completed her studies within the standard period of study with very good results, was honored.

Following the ceremony , trees were traditionally planted in the student park. In the evening, as always, there was an exuberant party in the Volkshaus.
