As part of the cross-border Saxon-Czech library project, options for the procurement and use of a project-specific consortial e-book platform have been developed and implemented in recent months.

The libraries participating in the project have found a provider in EBSCO. The Zittau/Görlitz University Library has added more than 250 titles to its e-book collection. In addition to standard works such as Inorganic Chemistry, Physics for Engineers and Scientists or Mechanical Process Engineering, there are other titles such as Development of the Individual - Subject of Pedagogy, Media Language or Energy in Modern Society. A list of the new e-book acquisitions of the Zittau/Görlitz University Library can be found here in this PDF document.

Library users can access the e-books via our website hsb.hszg.de. Click on the "Research" tab and select "Electronic media" to display an overview of the alphabetically arranged providers of electronic media. By selecting "EBSCO Information Service", you will automatically be redirected to the selection list for databases at EBSCO. By clicking on "eBook Collection" (the penultimate database in the list) you will be taken to the search screen. You can now search for e-book titles and display titles.

In a few weeks, these e-books will also be available in our catalog.
