As part of the current BücherboXX teaching project with 4th semester students from the Social Work course (SWb16), the "Zittauer BücherboXX" will be set up on the Zittau market square in the immediate vicinity of the Rolandbrunnen fountain on September 1 and will initially be made available for public use at two locations in Zittau during a three-month trial period.
The Mayor of Zittau, the Rector of the HSZG and other guests are expected to attend the opening on September 1, 2018, from 11:00 am.
More information can be found on the Facebook page.
What exactly is a BücherboXX?
A BücherboXX is a mini street library in a public cultural space that has been completely redesigned from a discarded telephone box and is accessible to everyone without restrictions and serves as a free book exchange. The motto of this exchange opportunity is: "Bring a book! Take a book! Read a book!" The aim of the project is to test and find a location for a permanent book boxx in the city of Zittau with the help of a traveling book boxx within a limited period of approx. 3 months.
