Information on e-journals and open access
The Electronic Journals Library (EZB) offers fast and standardized access to e-journals. The electronic journals are displayed on the platform in a structured manner and organized into subject areas. The access options to the full texts are displayed using a traffic light system. Green titles are freely accessible. Licensed e-journals are marked yellow and are activated in the campus network or can also be viewed by members of the HSZG via off-campus access options (such as VPN, Shibboleth or EZProxy). Titles in red are not accessible.
The search slot can be used to search directly for an e-journal by entering the title or ISSN. The journal details page contains a wealth of information. The information on online availability includes a link that takes you directly to the provider of the e-journal and to the full texts. The references and further information on access conditions can be found under "Information on the journal".
From now on, the detailed view will also include information on Open Access publishing in the respective journal. Depending on the title, this includes information on secondary publication, details on the funding of Open Access publications by the HSB, the publication costs according to OpenAPC and information on publishing from the DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals).
You will also find information on the print stock of the respective journal. If the e-journal is available in printed form, you will find information on the location under "Print availability".
E-journals can be searched not only via the Electronic Journals Library, but also via the library catalog. The catalog contains references to all licensed e-journals and freely accessible titles from the subject areas relevant to the university.
