On September 27, 2017, around 90 students from the class of 2017 took part in the introductory event of the Faculty of Business Administration and Engineering Management. The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Mario Straßberger, opened the academic year for the Business Administration (WB17 and WBb17), Industrial Engineering (WW17) and Housing and Real Estate Management (BWd17) degree programs. This traditionally included statements on the organization of the faculty, requirements for the upcoming study process, the good educational basis for the studies as well as the international relations of the faculty.
Based on experiences from previous years, the Chair of the Faculty's Examination Board, Prof. Kroschel, illustrated the need for purposeful learning from the very beginning of the degree course. He informed the students about their rights and the legal consequences of their actions.
Members of the Faculty Student Committee of Faculty W presented, among other things, the student representations in the faculty and at the university. They also referred to the opportunities for student leisure activities and shared experiences from their time as students.
