The Saxony⁵ Transfer Network was able to bring the Saxon Energy Agency’s (SAENA GmbH) traveling exhibition “Efficient Mobility” to our university on short notice.

The exhibition uses three display panels to provide information on the topics of “Electric Mobility, ” “Intelligent Transportation Systems,” and “Mobility of the Future, ” with each topic also highlighting its regional connection to the Free State of Saxony.

The exhibition also features five exhibits. On display is a roadside unit that enables the exchange of information between vehicles and infrastructure. Also on display are a battery from a plug-in hybrid vehicle, charging plugs for electric vehicles, and an electric motor that has been disassembled into its individual parts. A new addition is a laser scanner, which serves to detect the vehicle’s surroundings using sensors.

The exhibition is complemented by exhibits from the Transfer and Mobility Laboratory, which was established as part of the Saxony⁵ project.

The topic of the exhibition and the associated research activities at the HSZG attracted the attention of Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk. On Saturday (26.02.), the report on the traveling exhibition "Efficient Mobility" (SAENA) was broadcast on MDR Sachsenspiegel.
