The exhibition "The Most Beautiful German Books 2016" can be seen in the University Library in Zittau until 20.06.2017.

From a total of 788 submitted titles, two expert juries selected the 25 "Most Beautiful German Books" in the categories "General Literature", "Reference Books, Textbooks, Guidebooks", "Art Books, Photo Books, Exhibition Catalogs" and "Children's Books, Books for Young People". The Stiftung Buchkunst competition honors books that are exemplary in terms of design, concept and workmanship and that showcase important trends and movements in German book production.

The "Preis der Stiftung Buchkunst" was awarded to the "Architekturführer Köln" by

Uta Winterhager and Barbara Schlei (Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther König, Cologne) for the perfect symbiosis of content and design.
