This volume is the result of the editors' involvement in the Federal Government's commission "30 Years of Peaceful Revolution and German Unity" (2019-2020) and contains a series of studies on various aspects of the history, processes and consequences of the East German upheaval and German unification process as well as the opportunities for shaping the future of the Federal Republic.
