Dear students,

The current semester is drawing to a close with the examination phase. We have all experienced a lot, learned new things and overcome challenges together. I'm sure we all imagined SoSe2020 to be a little different. More normal. More predictable. But the coronavirus pandemic and the associated changes have thrown us out of our comfort zones.

Sure, we could stand here now and complain about the little problems along the way. But instead, we look back with pride on the path that WE have mastered together with flying colors. We stuck together and never lost sight of each other despite the sometimes pixelated pictures. We have grown and had the chance to try out new digital methods, develop our teaching skills and take the best from all of this for the future. We would therefore like to address you personally today with a few words.

Our Dean, Prof. Dr. Ute Pflicke, our Vice Dean, Prof. Dr. Yve Stöbel Richter, and our Dean of Studies, Prof. Dr. Falk Maiwald, have therefore taken the opportunity to give you a brief summary of the past semester and an outlook for the coming winter semester.

So before we send you off on your well-deserved semester break, one more word:

THANK YOU. Thank you for your cooperation, your support and your perseverance! We look forward to welcoming you back in the winter semester.
