Do you know the DIN EN ISO 3758 standard? - I'm sure you do! This standard defines the small symbols on care labels sewn into textiles, so they look the same - regardless of whether the clothing was made in Vietnam or the USA.
Standards are not only needed by those interested in technology. And almost everyone has to deal with DIN EN ISO 216* on a daily basis.
The previous database for this - Perinorm - will be replaced by the new Nautos platform from Beuth-Verlag at the end of the year. As with its predecessor, you can search German and European standards in Nautos, and all current DIN and VDI standards are also licensed in full text. Nautos has a modern interface and is more user-friendly. In Nautos you can still search by DIN number, standard name or keyword. You can access full texts directly in the results overview under the keyword "Document". You can also see at a glance whether the respective standard is the currently valid one or whether it is a predecessor of the current standard.
The best way to access it is via the University Library homepage -> Electronic media or directly here.
Nautos also provides you with numerous instructions and help videos. You can find them here.
All those registered at the HSB in Görlitz or Zittau can use Nautos in the library rooms; for employees and students of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, access from outside the campus is also possible via VPN. Commercial use is excluded.
As before, there is one exception: standards with VDE classification can only be viewed at the special individual workstation in Zittau (1st floor).
Good luck with your research!
