The Federal Environment Agency (UBA) is providing libraries with more than 1200 energy-saving packages - including our University Library. The energy-saving packs can be borrowed free of charge. They can be used, for example, to identify and reduce power consumption caused by idling or stand-by mode. The campaign is being run in collaboration with the No-Energy Foundation for Climate Protection and Resource Efficiency. "The most effective electricity price brake starts with saving electricity! In many households, simple measures can save electricity, in some cases to the tune of a three-digit euro amount per year," explains the Federal Environment Agency.
