The focus was on the topic of loneliness in old age - a growing social concern. We showed how everyday assistance solutions (AAL) can help to make the everyday lives of older people safer, more comfortable and more self-determined - and support them in staying in touch with their environment.
We also presented the senior citizens' college at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences as an example of what lifelong learning in old age can look like in practice.

We were joined by many committed associations and initiatives in the district of Görlitz who presented their offerings. It was a successful exchange that was encouraging and showed that technology, encounters and commitment belong together.

Loneliness often goes unnoticed - due to life changes, the loss of a partner, less contact with family or a withdrawal from professional life. The event not only offered information, but above all what it's all about: contact, conversations, eye-to-eye contact.
