An exciting and varied teaching program featuring fellow professors from various European countries in the fields of marketing, production logistics, human resources, and finance offered a wide range of good opportunities that were put to good use by both the Erasmus students on site and our own students. Dr. Sebastian Zips delivered lectures on the topicof “Platform Economy,” in which he introduced this business model and outlined its key success factors.

It was also interesting to network, particularly with international colleagues from other countries, and to engage in professional discussions about teaching methods and current topics within their respective departments. The students also accepted an afternoon invitation from a local architect to have coffee at his building, where he gave them a tour of his building and provided insights into his current projects.

Of course, the hospitable Greek hosts also repeatedly offered opportunities for excursions to explore the “historic sites” around Kavala, such as the ancient sites of Philippi and Peramos, the island of Thassos, as well as the mountains and beaches around Kavala itself, which offered magnificent views.

At this point, we would like to once again extend a heartfelt thank you to our Erasmus coordinator, Prof. Dr. Hahn; the Erasmus+ coordinator, Ms. Stephanie Ludwig; and our Faculty Manager, Dipl. Oek. Norbert Kalz, who were able to arrange for the students to join the trip on short notice.
