The 4th regional working meeting for the prevention of emergencies in libraries, museums and University archives and for mutual support in emergencies took place on July 3, 2013 in the Bautzen City Library. The aim of the participating institutions is to have a preventive effect and to optimize the protection of cultural assets of the participating institutions. Dr. Konschak gave an overview of the status of the emergency network, which comprises 20 participants. The current version of the contract text was discussed.

Through discussions with legal representatives and talks with the mayors of Zittau, Görlitz and Bautzen, Dr. Konschak succeeded in scheduling her efforts to establish the Upper Lusatia Emergency Network for 18 September 2013 at the Upper Lusatian Library of Sciences in Görlitz. The emergency network will be signed on this day in Görlitz as part of the Saxon Workshop Day for Preservation.
