Zittau: For the 27th time this year, up to sixty students will compete on April 24 to solve tasks from the basic field of electrical engineering. In preparation for the 27th "Neisse-Elektro" Olympiad, selected tasks from the previous finals were sent out for practice this year. For the first time, registration and preparation for the Olympiad will take place entirely online. Due to the pandemic, preparatory courses at schools and universities could not take place on site.
The Saxon Minister of State for Science Sebastian Gemkow is taking over the patronage of the Olympiad, in which around 1100 pupils from the region around the border triangle of Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany have taken part since 1995.
Further information is available on the homepage of the NEISSE-ELEKTRO international working group. It is exciting to browse through the collection of tasks from past Olympiads, to get to know the English-language formulary approved for the Olympians, or to find out about the history of this traditional competition.
We, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science', would like to thank the teachers for their support in preparing their students for the Olympiad. The Olympiad is made possible by sponsors and supporters: VDE Bezirksverein Dresden e.V., ATN Hölzel GmbH, Würth Elektronik and KIA (sandwich-style) degree course. Thank you very much!
