22nd cross-border job fair in Zgorzelec

Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences was also represented at the 22nd cross-border job fair in Zgorzelec. Visitors to the university stand were advised by students from the Business and Languages-Polish degree program.

On 09 May 2018, this year's cross-border job fair took place in the Municipal House of Culture in Zgorzelec. The fair was opened by Ms. Ewa Grzebieniak. She is the director of the Lower Silesian Employment Office.

In her speech, Ms. Ewa Grzebieniak emphasized the importance of close ties and cooperation between Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany. She emphasized the importance of the fair for the entire region.

The job fair in Zgorzelec was organized by EURES-TriRegio, a cross-border partnership of employment services, trade unions and employers' associations.

Over 70 companies and organizations were present, offering attractive job opportunities in Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany. Many visitors to the fair also took advantage of the offer to have their CVs translated and printed free of charge.

Visitors to the university stand had the opportunity to get advice on their choice of studies and career from students of the Business and Languages-Polish course. Questions such as: What degree programs do we offer? What are the requirements for studying with us? What opportunities are there after graduation? were answered directly by the students at the stand.

Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences made a good presentation at the cross-border job fair in Zgorzelec and invited all prospective students and their parents to visit the university, giving them the opportunity to make direct personal contact with students and staff from our university. At the same time, they have the chance to find out about our study opportunities on site.

For the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, participation in the 22nd cross-border job fair in Zgorzelec was worthwhile.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our hard-working students Anne Lauber, Julia Ozimkowska and Ryszard Detyna from the Business and Languages-Polanddegree program -because it was only thanks to their active support that we were able to convey the advantages and atmosphere of our university to all visitors to our stand without any language barriers.
