45 graduates of the Studienkolleg received their certificates.
They come from eleven different countries, including Indonesia (the largest group with 21 graduates), Poland, Morocco, Jordan, Vietnam, Sudan, Germany, Greece, Iran, Tunisia and Ukraine, and successfully completed the "Examination to determine the aptitude of foreign applicants to study in Germany (assessment test) in the main courses of technology and business" as well as the "German language test for university entrance" (DSH).
They have thus cleared the first hurdle for starting a degree course at a Saxon university of applied sciences. With a great deal of effort and diligence, the Studienkolleg graduates have acquired German language skills that form an excellent basis for successful studies at a Saxon university.
It is particularly pleasing that 35 of the Studienkolleg graduates are planning to study at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. Their preferred courses of study are Electrical Energy Systems, Industrial Engineering, Economics and Computer Science, Economics and Languages, Chemistry, Ecology and Environmental Protection and Mechanical Engineering.
Special highlights of the cultural framework of this festive hour were the musical opening by Matthias Leipert and his ten-year-old son Martin on the grand piano as well as the wonderful dance performances by the Indonesian students.
