Science year 2015/2016 starts

The new Science Year calendar for September 2015 to September 2016 is now online.

In recent years, research at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences has focused on the three research priorities

undefined“ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT

,

undefined“TRANSFORMATION PROCESSES IN THE ECONOMY AND SOCIETY,”

and

undefined“MATERIALS, STRUCTURES, AND SURFACES.”

It thus covers a wide range of topics from the engineering, natural, and social sciences, while also delving deeply into them. Selected examples include the Zittau Power Plant Laboratory (research on magnetic bearings and energy storage), research on technologies for Pcare support (Ambient Assisted Living), and research into new composite materials (in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology IWU).

And to ensure that research findings do not go to waste, there are increasing efforts to expand collaborations with companies and other interested parties. This is happening both through the researchers themselves and centrally, for example, with the help of the “connectors”—and through special events such as the workshop discussions.

But “regular” scientific conferences are also <media download kalender-wi ja2015 web>well </media>represented in <media download kalender-wi ja2015 web>the “<img src="/fileadmin/template/HSZG/imgs/access_icons/download.gif" alt="undefined" width="0" height="0" decoding="async">” Science Year 2015/16 </media>. Take a look for yourself and don’t hesitate to register as early as possible. We look forward to welcoming many participants.
