Research Assistant (m/f/d)

for a fixed term until December 31, 2027 .
As part of the joint “Saxony⁵” project involving Saxony’s universities of applied sciences (HAW), particular emphasis is placed on strengthening their activities in knowledge and technology transfer, as well as developing, testing, and institutionalizing transfer tools. Transfer to society—as the third pillar of university work—is being sustainably established and strengthened through collaborations and networks. We are seeking an enthusiastic employee who will focus on the tasks outlined for the second phase of the project—specifically, the analysis and further development of transfer tools related to the thematic focus “Experiential Transfer Spaces”—with each of the five participating universities contributing its own thematic focus to the project.
Transfer management specifically includes the following tasks:
- Collecting and evaluating data and experiences related to the transfer processes within the project, particularly regarding the “Experiential Transfer Spaces” model,
- developing models and theories on the topic and establishing a library of transfer tools in collaboration with the Saxony⁵ project team leaders from all five participating universities,
- Conceptualizing and implementing transfer tools and applying them to other subprojects within the Saxony⁵ consortium,
- Further development of the HSZG’s “CELSIUZ” transfer space (www.celsiuz.de) within the project team,
- Active involvement in project organization,
- Regular reporting and report preparation within the project; contribution to the final report, including publication tasks.
The following knowledge and skills are required:
- a successfully completed academic degree in the humanities, social sciences, or business (university Master’s, Diplom, Magister, or accredited Master’s from a university of applied sciences, or comparable degrees),
- academic knowledge and/or professional experience in the field of knowledge or transfer management,
- Practical knowledge and experience in the quantitative and qualitative methods of empirical social research,
- a confident demeanor and communication skills tailored to the audience.
In addition, the following are desirable:
- empirical knowledge of research and technology transfer from academic institutions into economic or societal practice,
- several years of professional experience
- in higher education or at non-university research institutions,
- in the design and development of a knowledge management system,
- in knowledge and technology transfer,
- in the operation of coworking and co-creation spaces or makerspaces,
- practical English skills.

Salary will be paid up to Pay Grade 13 of the TV-L collective bargaining agreement, provided the candidate meets the personal qualifications. The primary place of work is Zittau.
