HSZG shows interested citizens e-cars, charging stations and co.
In the open air and in beautiful October evening weather, the Saxony5 project team from the HSZG and the Zittau adult education center invited interested citizens to a joint discussion about electromobility on October 8, 2020.
Saxony5 employee Volker Brade presented the university's e-car, explained and debated how it works, its advantages and disadvantages. The charging station and an e-scooter were also tested by the audience. Finally, the guests were able to get an idea of the possible networking of photovoltaics, battery storage, e-mobility and combined heat and power plants in the e-mobility showroom, which is currently under construction. This networking of different types of energy ("sector coupling") is intended to ensure a stable supply of electrical energy and heat, particularly in rural areas:
The topic of the evening provided plenty to talk about and exciting insights into the over 100-year-old but highly topical technology of electromobility.
