At the press conference at the district administration office on 24. March 2017, the TRAWOS Institute presented the results of on how young people stay in the region
The TRAWOS Institute at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, led by Prof. Dr. Raj Kollmorgen and Prof. Ulrike Gräßel, investigated the migration and whereabouts of young adults between the ages of 16 and 40. The cooperation project with the district of Görlitz aimed to record the chances of qualified women in particular to remain in the region and to develop recommendations for action and measures to keep well-educated women in the region. In addition to pupils at the grammar schools, students at the HSZG were also surveyed in a representative online survey.
The results were presented to the public and the press on March 24, 2017 together with Heike Zettwitz, head of the district administration, and Ines Fabisch, Equal Opportunities Officer.
