W2-Professorship "Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Energy Machines" - Reader Service Code: ME-042

The position includes the representation of the above-mentioned appointment area in teaching and research in lectures, seminars, exercises, practicals and projects as well as in further education, in particular with the following focal points:

• Fluid mechanics,
• Fluid energy machines,
• Numerical flow simulation,
• wind and water energy utilization.

The range of courses on offer must be secured throughout the university. If required, courses should also be taught in English. Furthermore, the ability and willingness to participate in integrative, practice-oriented and internship-related courses is required. If necessary, courses related to the area of appointment must be taken on.

Appointment requirements

• A completed academic university degree in a subject area related to the field of appointment,
• a proven pedagogical aptitude in teaching or training,
• special aptitude for academic work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate, and
• special achievements in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods in a professional practice of generally five years, of which at least three years must have been spent outside the university sector.
