Students from the National Volodymyr Hnatyuk Pedagogical University in Ternopil visit the HSZG.
On March 18 and 19, a student delegation from our partner university "National Volodymyr-Hnatyuk Pedagogical University" from the city of Ternopil/Ukraine visited Zittau and Görlitz. The partnership has existed since 2005 and we are very pleased that contact has once again been established.
The geography students were visiting Germany as part of a study trip sponsored by the DAAD. The bachelor's students from higher semesters and some master's students wanted to gain experience in the field of geography of tourism and get to know the education in Germany better.
In Zittau, they were shown the structure and organization of the university by the Head of Academic Administration. In addition to a few laboratory visits, they also experienced a joint seminar with students from the tourism course led by Prof. Pflicke at Görlitz. The cultural program included a short tour of Zittau and the special tourist highlight, the "Great Zittau Lenten Cloth".
During the discussion, some of the students showed great interest in continuing their studies in the Master's program at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. We look forward to welcoming some of them to study with us in the future.
