Last Thursday, 46 graduates of the Studienkolleg were presented with their certificates in the festive atmosphere of the auditorium of the Christian Weise Gymnasium in Zittau. They come from 16 countries, including Indonesia (the largest group with 12 graduates), Poland, Iran, Morocco, Albania, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, El Salvador, Great Britain, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Romania, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine, and completed the "Examination to determine the aptitude of foreign and stateless applicants for admission to higher education in the Federal Republic of Germany" (Feststellungsprüfung-FSP) in the specialization courses "Technology" and "Business" as well as the "German Language Test for Admission to Higher Education for Foreign Applicants" (Feststellungsprüfung-FSP). Business" and the "German Language Test for Admission to Higher Education for Foreign Applicants" (DSH).

With their successful degree, the Studienkolleg graduates have cleared the first hurdle and , with a great deal of effort and diligence, have acquired knowledge of the German language that forms an excellent basis for successful studies at a Saxon university. The graduates' study aspirations range from
business administration
molecular biotechnology
chemistry
power engineering
Energy and environmental engineering
Computer Science
Mechanical Engineering
economics and languages
industrial engineering
Housing and Real Estate Management
24 graduates completed the degree in fast-track mode - one semester until they passed the DSH or two semesters until they passed the FSP. One student from Ukraine passed the FSP in a free attempt after just one semester at the Studienkolleg with a very good result. Normally, the FSP is only taken after 2 semesters at the Studienkolleg. It was the first free attempt since the Studienkolleg was founded!
It is particularly pleasing that numerous Studienkolleg graduates would like to study at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.
Once again this year, the students and graduates of the Studienkolleg provided the cultural framework for the ceremony. The various contributions were all individual highlights in their own right. These included the musical opening on the piano by student Nazanin Bam from Iran, who enchanted the audience with a piece by Beethoven, student Shahnozakhon Avezbadalova from Tajikistan, who fascinated the audience with a dance from her home country, the singing and guitar solo by student Malcolm Jones from England, the intercultural band with students from Indonesia and Morocco and the traditional dances by female students from Indonesia.
