Application Period for the Germany Scholarship Begins
Students and first-year students can apply now until July 16.
All first-year students and current students at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences who would like to use 300 euros per month to enable themselves to focus entirely on their studies—and who want to see their academic achievements and social engagement recognized—should pay good attention now.
With the start of the new application period from June 19 through July 16, 2023, they can once again apply for one of the coveted Germany Scholarships at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.
Applications for a Germany Scholarship must be submitted exclusively online. The online application portal provided by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research is available for this purpose.
When the application period begins, a link will appear on our website will feature an external link that directs applicants to the DSTIP application server. It will be activated at the start of the application period, from June 19 (9:00 a.m.) through July 16, 2023 (11:59 p.m.).
The application must be uploaded in its entirety, including all required attachments, to the application portal within this time window. Only then will it be considered valid and processed accordingly.
What is the Germany Scholarship?
The Deutschlandstipendium supports talented and dedicated students at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. In addition to good grades and academic performance, the award process also considers social engagement and exceptional personal achievements—such as successfully overcoming obstacles in one’s educational journey or volunteering with organizations. Awards and prizes received are also taken into account. In addition to academic achievements, the focus is on the student’s character.
Anyone who is enrolled at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences or is making an application for a place at university is eligible to apply.
The Germany Scholarship amounts to 300 euros per month. Of this amount, 150 euros are provided by private sponsors such as companies, foundations, alumni, and other individuals. The remaining 150 euros are provided by the federal government.
The Deutschlandstipendium is paid directly to the recipients by the universities. The grant is awarded regardless of income and can also be received in addition to BAföG (German financial aid for students). The standard award period covers one academic year (September 1, 2023 – August 31, 2024).
