Exciting excursion to the company MBN Maschinenbaubetriebe Neugersdorf GmbH
An interesting excursion to the company MBN GmbH in Ebersbach-Neugersdorf recently took place as part of a cross-faculty event for electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. This excursion marked another highlight in the long-standing cooperation between MBN and the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG) in the field of dual studies as a constant KIA cooperation partner, in the supervision of practical semester work and final theses.
The excursion was organized as a link between theory and practice to illustrate to the students how various teaching content is implemented in the business world. In particular, the topics from the previous lecture on "Project planning of robot systems for final vehicle assembly" were to be underpinned by practical applications.
The students had the unique opportunity to experience MBN up close and gain a comprehensive insight into the project planning of robot systems for final vehicle assembly. During a practice-oriented tour of the production facilities, they were able to observe and follow the entire process from planning to implementation and commissioning.
The direct interaction with MBN employees gave the students valuable insights and the opportunity to ask questions. The openness and expertise of the employees contributed significantly to the success of the excursion. The students were impressed by the professionalism and expertise of the MBN team, who generously shared their experiences.
Finally, we would like to thank MBN GmbH for their hospitality and for providing this exciting excursion. The long-standing collaboration with MBN and the opportunity to offer our students such valuable experience is invaluable to us. We would also like to thank Professor Müller and his team as well as Nora Terlunen for the excellent coordination and organization of this successful excursion.
The excursion to MBN GmbH will certainly be remembered by the students for a long time and will help them to apply their academic knowledge to practical applications.
