Individual Social Assistance and Integrative Methodology in Social Work - Code: SW-119V -

The position involves serving as a substitute for the aforementioned professorship in teaching and research, with a particular focus on the following areas:

• Individual social case work as a method of social work,
• Integrative methodology and case work in social work,
• Ethics and social management in the context of methodological practice in social work.

The successful candidate (m/f/d) is expected to teach not only classes / courses related to the aforementioned areas of focus but also introductory courses in the discipline and profession of social work, such as intervention methods, self-reflection, and supervision of field placements. Knowledge in the area of child protection, which can be incorporated into the classes / courses, is desirable. The teaching load is to be fulfilled through lectures, seminars, exercises, internships, and projects, as well as through continuing education. The course offerings must be ensured university-wide as needed.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• a successfully completed academic degree at the university level related to the above-mentioned field,
• a demonstrated aptitude for academic work, typically evidenced by the quality of a doctoral dissertation,
• experience in applied research and knowledge transfer,
• demonstrated pedagogical aptitude in teaching or training at the university level, as well as relevant teaching experience—if possible, at a university of applied sciences and in the subject area of the position,
• a demonstrable connection between the candidate’s professional career and the content and responsibilities of the professorship,
• the ability and willingness to teach in English is desirable.
