Quality rating for our university

The Förderverein der Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz e.V. awards prizes for outstanding academic achievements in 2021.

This year, the Förderverein der Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz e.V. is once again awarding prizes to the best graduates and students of the HSZG at the suggestion of the faculties.

"I am delighted that we are once again able to recognize the academic work of students this year by awarding prizes for outstanding academic achievements," announces Mario Linack, Chairman of the association.

The members of the association foster the exchange of ideas and experiences in the border triangle between the university, business, politics and the public. The recognition and promotion of student achievements is one of the main statutory objectives of the University Promotion Association.

All six faculties have the opportunity to nominate a student for this award.

Criteria for awarding the prize

The prize is awarded for the best academic achievement based on the grade point average, with special consideration given to the final thesis. The criterion is a grade point average of better than 2.0. The prize money amounts to €500.

The supervising lecturers, the student council or the students themselves are eligible to apply.

All nominations with complete required documents must be submitted to the board of the Förderverein by April 15, 2021 at the latest. Students should therefore approach their faculty representatives with their nominations in good time.

Information on the guidelines for awarding prizes can be found on the association's website.

"In previous years, we have always received outstanding theses for the award. The university's award winners are proud of their award, which has become a real mark of quality for our university," says Mario Linack, looking forward to this year's nominations.
