Project employee (m/f/d) SAXONY - Network Energy - Reference: 57-2024 SAXONY

The “Saxony⁵” project, led by Saxony’s universities of applied sciences (HAW), focuses on strengthening their activities in knowledge and technology transfer, as well as developing, testing, and institutionalizing transfer tools (both in-person events and virtual formats). Knowledge transfer to society—as the third pillar of university work—is being sustainably established and strengthened through partnerships and networks.

To raise our profile, particularly in the East Saxony region, and to promote exchange with stakeholders from business, society, and politics, a dedicated space—the Co-Creation Lab CELSIUZ—was created for this purpose (www.celsiuz.de). CELSIUZ offers space for creativity and—with its digital control center serving as a showcase for HSZG’s research—opportunities to visualize current and future research projects and findings.

As part of Subproject 7: Energy, the network in the field of electricity and heat supply is to be further expanded, and knowledge transfer is to be strengthened through various event formats. In this context, the position holder (m/f/d) will be responsible in particular for the following tasks:

• active network building and maintenance related to the “heat and electricity transition” in Eastern Saxony,
• Planning, developing content for, and conducting online and in-person events on the topics of energy research and the heat transition for internal and external target groups,
• Selecting and preparing HSZG research findings for knowledge-transfer events and the interactive illustration of problems and solutions in the control room,
• Supporting and further developing CELSIUZ together with the project team,
• Increasing the visibility of in-house energy research through target-group-specific communication in academia, business, and society,
• Regular exchange with the project teams from all 5 participating universities.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• a completed college degree (preferably in STEM fields, e.g., Bachelor, university of applied sciences Diplom),
• Commitment to event organization and management,
• Commitment to building and connecting networks, as well as to organizing and conducting participatory networking events,
• strong media literacy,
• Enthusiasm for the energy transition,
• Relevant professional experience in the above-mentioned field (including through internships or employment as a research assistant).

In addition, the following are desirable:

• knowledge in the areas of knowledge transfer, marketing, or sales,
• experience applying creative methods in workshops,
• flexibility in scheduling work hours based on the types of events to be held,
• the ability to create engaging texts and presentations to convey technical content to various target audiences, as well as
• practical English skills.
