Only on display for one day - but 4 years of research
Project conference and poster exhibition at the HSZG on 7.11.2018
As in previous years, an event was held in 2018—this time on November 7—to showcase the research projects at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG) funded by the Saxon state parliament. The event focused on the use of approximately 0.8 million euros in annual funding for research at HSZG. The event was divided into two parts: 100 minutes of presentations, followed by a poster session featuring 46 posters—which remained on display for one day.
In the first part, in addition to an administrative presentation, there was a project presentation from each of the university’s six faculties and seven research institutes. The five-minute time limit for each presentation was quite a challenge—though it was only slightly exceeded overall. Topics ranged from software applications for energy utilities to visibility in the ideal urban landscape. And, of course, all of the HSZG’s main research areas were represented. The presentation segment concluded with a brief introduction to our Saxony⁵ transfer project, including information on ways to support the commercialization of project results.
The poster session provided an opportunity for lively discussion—ranging from questions for clarification to potential collaborations and the (questionable) continuation of project ideas.A follow-up event is already firmly planned for next year; the goal is to hold a joint project conference for all Saxon universities of applied sciences in Zittau or Görlitz.
For those who missed the event: The A4 brochure containing all the posters is available as a PDF file at this link, or can be requested as a printed booklet from Lutz Haberland.
