New member of the University Council receives certificate
Katrin Bartsch will take over the seat on the University board from October.
The University Council of Zittau/Görlitz University welcomes Katrin Bartsch, Chair of the Management Board of Stadtwerke Weißwasser GmbH, as a new member. She replaces Hagen Semmer, who has been serving in a new role within the Siemens Energy Group since October 1, 2021, and is therefore no longer available to the Görlitz campus or the HSZG University Council as of that date.
At the University Council meeting on October 29, 2021, Dr. Bartscher from the Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture, and Tourism (SMWK) presented Ms. Bartsch with her letter of appointment, signed by the ministry’s leadership.
“We are very pleased to have found in Katrin Bartsch a dedicated member who will use her expertise to support the university’s strategy-development process. The Office of the President looks forward to a good collaboration,” said President Prof. Dr.-Ing. Alexander Kratzsch.
”Katrin Bartsch is appointed for the period from 01.10.2021 to 30.09.2026.
