At the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG), Centre for Knowledge Transfer and Education (ZWB), as part of a project funded by the Saxon State Ministry of Culture “Eastern Saxony School Network of the Digital Schools Saxony Initiative,” a part-time position (20 hours/week) is available as soon as possible as

Network Coordinator for the “Eastern Saxony School Network of the Digital Schools Saxony Initiative” (m/f/d) – Reference: School Network Coordination –

fixed-term until December 31, 2024.

The position holder (m/f/d) is primarily responsible for the following tasks:

Network Development – Coordinating the “Digital Schools Saxony” school network in the East Saxony region

  • Further development of a coordination concept: Responsible for developing an effective concept for managing and coordinating the network’s activities,
  • Engaging schools in the network: Initiating and implementing measures to motivate schools and encourage their participation in the network,
  • Engaging regional stakeholders: Establishing and maintaining relationships with relevant regional actors and stakeholders in the education sector,
  • Support services for school-based development: Providing support and resources to schools to help them meet the requirements for joining the network.

Academic Supervision

  • Further development of the school network: Active participation in the continuous development of the school network, taking into account current pedagogical and technological developments,
  • Individual content and pedagogical support for schools: Supporting schools in implementing and further developing their school programs through subject-specific and pedagogical guidance,
  • Identification of professional development needs: Analyzing the needs of school teaching staff regarding training and professional development in the field of digital and computer science education,
  • Conducting scientific monitoring: Regularly evaluating and monitoring the scientific aspects of the school network,
  • Project planning and management: Responsible for planning, implementing, and managing projects related to the school network,
  • Documentation and reporting: Meticulous documentation of all relevant activities and preparation of regular reports for internal and external stakeholders,
  • Project planning and management.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • A completed academic degree from a university in a field relevant to the above-mentioned scope of responsibilities,
  • Relevant organizational and management skills,
  • in-depth knowledge and practical experience in the areas of responsibility listed above,
  • Competency Requirements for Network Development – Coordination of the Sub-School Network:
    • Initiative: Experience in initiating and implementing measures to motivate and engage schools in the network,
    • Relationship Management: Ability to establish and maintain relationships with relevant regional actors and stakeholders in the education sector,
    • Consulting Skills: Providing support and resources to schools to help them meet the network’s membership requirements.
  • Competency Requirements for Academic Supervision:
    • Subject-Matter Expertise: Active participation in the further development of the school network, taking into account current pedagogical and technological developments,
    • Consulting expertise: Providing individualized content-based and pedagogical guidance to schools to implement and further develop their school programs,
    • Analytical Skills: Identifying professional development needs by analyzing schools in the area of digital education.
  • Competency Requirements for Project Management and Reporting:
    • Project Management: Experience in planning, implementing, and managing projects related to the school network,
    • Communication skills: Preparation of regular reports for internal and external stakeholders,
    • Organizational skills: Experience in comprehensive project planning and management within the context of the school network,

In addition, the following are desirable:

  • extensive professional experience in the field of education,
  • practical work experience in a school or educational setting,
  • strong regional networks with public administrations, educational initiatives, universities, research institutions, and businesses,
  • knowledge of the research region and regional structural change,
  • and experience in using and designing media with high public visibility.

Further information

As part of the hiring process, you must submit a current, extended police clearance certificate to fulfill the hiring requirements in accordance with the current guidelines of the Saxon State Ministry of Culture. Salary is paid up to Pay Grade 13 of the TV-L collective bargaining agreement, provided the personal qualifications are met. The primary place of employment is Görlitz.
