At the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG), Center for Knowledge Transfer and Education (ZWB), as part of a project funded by the Saxon State Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs "East Saxon School Network of the Digital Schools Initiative Saxony" for a part-time position (20 hours/week) at the earliest possible date as

Network Coordinator "East Saxon School Network of the Digital Schools Initiative Saxony" (m/f/d)

to be filled for a limited period until 31.12.2026. Employment beyond this date is not excluded, but depends on the project sponsor.

The job holder (m/f/d) will be responsible for the following tasks in particular:

Network development: Coordination of the sub-school network "Digital Schools Saxony" in the East Saxony region

  • Creation of an annual plan.
  • Further development of a concept for the coordination of network work.
  • Implementation of at least one overall network meeting in coordination with the other sub-networks.
  • School counseling and school visits.
  • Networking with relevant stakeholders and projects.

Scientific support

  • Empirical and evidence-based school support and networking.
  • Individual support for schools: support for schools in the implementation and further development of their school programs.
  • Identification of training needs: Analysis of schools' needs in terms of training and professional development in the field of digital education.
  • Implementation of scientific monitoring: Regular empirical analysis of the effectiveness of the school network.
  • Project planning and management: Responsible for the planning, implementation and management of projects.
  • Documentation and reporting: Conscientious documentation of all relevant activities and preparation of regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Public relations

  • Public relations
  • Attendance at selected high-profile events (e.g. trade fairs, conferences, etc.)

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed scientific university degree in the STEM field.
  • Computer science programming and analysis skills at university level.
  • Organizational and management skills.

Competence requirements for the tasks mentioned:

  • Coordination of the sub-school network:
    • Initiative: experience in initiating and implementing measures to motivate and involve schools in the network.
    • Relationship management: Competence in building and maintaining relationships with relevant regional players and stakeholders in the education sector.
    • Advisory expertise: providing support and resources for schools to meet the network's entry requirements.
  • Scientific support:
    • Technical (computer science) expertise: active participation in the further development of the school network, taking into account known computer science principles and concepts as well as current technological developments.
    • Consulting skills: Individual content-related support for schools to implement and further develop their school programs.
    • Analytical skills: Identification of needs through analysis of schools and other sources in the field of digital education.
  • Project management and reporting:
    • Project management: experience in planning, implementing and managing IT projects.
    • Communication skills: Preparation of regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Organizational skills: experience in comprehensive project planning and control.

The following are also desirable

  • Many years of professional experience in STEM education or IT project management,
  • Practical professional experience in a school or IT environment,
  • Strong regional networking with public administrations, educational initiatives, universities, research institutions and companies.
  • Knowledge of the research region and regional structural change,
  • Experience in the use and design of effective public media.

Further information

If the personal requirements are met, remuneration will be paid up to pay group 13 TV-L. The first place of work is Görlitz.
