Under the Microsoft State Agreement, enrolled students at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and other participating universities and colleges in Saxony have the opportunity to use Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus (without cloud services) free of charge on up to five devices running Windows or macOS.
Every student who has successfully registered for the service receives the latest version of Office as a subscription with Office 365 ProPlus at no additional cost. To use this offer, you must perform re-registration every 30 days. If you fail to perform re-registration, you can still view documents but will no longer be able to edit them. A valid university login is required to use the software.
The ZIH at TU Dresden provides a portal for registration and renewal throughout Saxony, through which authentication is performed using a personal username and password via the respective university. Upon successful registration, an anonymous account is created for students, which they can use to log in directly to Microsoft’s website to download the software. It is not necessary to provide personal data to Microsoft.
