The dismantling of the last scaffolding on the first construction phase of the Z I building at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences began yesterday. The now completed part of the building is being diligently cleaned and the first furniture has already been delivered.
The new teaching and work rooms are now being handed over to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science' for use in divisions to ensure a smooth start to the academic year.
The first classes / courses have already been taking place in the new rooms since August 10. The first class / course is Railway Control and Safety Technology with students from the universities of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, Rhein-Main, Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences and Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. These laboratories have already moved to their new location for an early start to teaching. Only a few components are still missing before they can be fully used for teaching.
Over the next two weeks, the rooms in the last part of the building that are currently still occupied will be cleared to create the necessary space for the second construction phase.
