Lecturer with a specified function (m/f/d) - Childhood Education - Reference: 03-2025 LfbA F-S

In accordance with Section 78 of the Law on Universities in the Free State of Saxony (SächsHSG), the position involves the following duties in particular:

• Preparation, delivery, and follow-up of classes / courses, as well as practical guidance in the childhood education degree programme, with a focus on
  - child development and educational design in the areas of motor, language, social-emotional, and cognitive skills,
  - empirical social research and the professional application of research methods,
  - academic work.
• Advising students on academic and organizational matters related to their studies,
• Participation in degree programme and faculty meetings (program discussions, working group meetings, and staff meetings) and in central events.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• A completed college degree in childhood education,
• social, intercultural, and communication skills, the ability to work in a team, and
• relevant practical experience.

In addition, the following are desirable:

• regional connections, e.g., from practical experience,
• willingness to participate in the tasks and activities of other degree programmes and the faculty,
• knowledge of higher education pedagogy and experience in university teaching or adult education,
• knowledge of university-related structures and processes, as well as
• experience in committee work and public relations.
