KIA brings partners to the table

For the second time, representatives from companies, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the university and dual students met for a workshop on February 1.

Representatives from companies, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, university employees and dual students met for the second time at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences on February 1, 2018.

TheKIA training associationwhich supports the dual study program at the university, hosted the workshop
"KIA (sandwich-style) degree course: opportunities for the future"
. The aim of the workshop series is to further develop the successful model of the dual KIA (sandwich-style) degree course under constantly changing conditions.

The topics "Study content and working life", "Study process and skilled worker training" and "KIApro - further training course for experienced skilled workers" were discussed very lively and constructively in three working groups.

The close networking in the areas of applicant management, training and further education through to research cooperation is of great value to all partners. Following the workshop, the representatives of the companies were happy to take the opportunity to visit the laboratory base of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and to take a tour of the new Fraunhofer Plastics Center Oberlausitz.
