Centerpiece for the second part

On February 28, 2018, the Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor, and Transportation published the interim report on the Second Saxon Cultural Industries Report. This interim report now forms the core of the update to the Second Cultural Industries Report (2nd KWB). Prognos AG and the TRAWOS Institute for Transformation, Housing, and Social Spatial Development at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences were commissioned by the Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor, and Transportation.

Drawing on existing subject-matter expertise and network structures at the TRAWOS Institute in the field of Saxony’s cultural and creative industries, the institute conducted qualitative research and developed case studies and best-practice examples of cultural and creative industry enterprises in Saxony.

The interim report now provides information on the current situation of the cultural and creative industries, analyzes the submarkets using statistical indicators, and presents the development of the economic indicators for the cultural and creative industries over the period from 2010 to 2016. The interim report describes the macroeconomic significance of the cultural and creative industries as a whole and their submarkets in detail, and identifies current challenges and potential.
