Eleven doctoral and master's students got to know our high-quality and practice-oriented teaching.
From March 6 to 12, 2016, eleven Master's students from TURAN University visited Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. Doctoral and Master's students in the Republic of Kazakhstan are required by law to study abroad and receive financial support from the state.
Once again, our university was able to welcome students from Almaty. This time, the students were studying finance, management and computer science. The project tasks to be completed focused on content and organizational issues relating to higher education in Germany. In addition, a great deal of attention was paid to technical and financial solutions to the problems of energy supply in Germany. The visits to the Energy Technology Cabinet (Mr. Wodarzack) and the geothermal laboratory (Mr. Schäfer) were particularly helpful here.
Of course, the opportunity was also taken to learn about the history, urban development and urban redevelopment of Zittau and Görlitz.
Thanks to the active involvement of the university staff (Rectorate, Ms. Schubert, Mr. Bienert, Mr. Hummel) and the student services department, it was possible to pass on the extensive positive experience that exists at our university with regard to high-quality and practice-oriented teaching.
