The "Berufepark" once again attracted numerous visitors to the Zittau secondary schools.
Many pupils and their parents took the time on Saturday, 23.01.2016, to find out about current training opportunities in the region. 61 companies, educational institutions and public institutions presented the opportunities for starting a career at the three secondary schools in Zittau.
The STEM Center of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences was there to present training opportunities to the young people at the Weinau School in Zittau - and, above all, to explain the possible educational path to a university degree. This is because around 30 percent of secondary school leavers aim for a higher education qualification and attend a technical secondary school or vocational grammar school after completing year 10 - and are then potential "customers" of our university at the latest.
Many pupils and their parents are interested in the KIA+ training combination. This combination is intended for graduates of the 10th grade and combines dual training with the attainment of the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences and a subsequent course of study.
The direct training opportunities at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences are also multifaceted. They range from the classic dual training as an office management assistant to an electronics technician with a dual course of study - KIA.
Participation in the "Berufepark" is part of the many publicity measures of the STEM Center of the HSZG, whose employees are strongly committed to the next generation of engineers and scientists.
These activities will continue with the trade fair appearance at KONVENT'A on April 23/24 and Girls' Day on April 28.
