Business and engineering degrees are very popular on the job market. But what exactly do you learn during your studies? On June 16, around 80 pupils from the Hanseatic School of Business and Administration will receive valuable first-hand information and tips. This special kind of orientation aid starts with a taster lecture by a university professor. Afterwards, students from various East German universities will be available for discussions and answer questions about starting a degree course and their universities. The event is part of the "Campus on Tour" campaign, which is organized by the cross-state university marketing campaign "My Campus by Studying in the Far East".
Designing and modernizing buildings to be energy-efficient is becoming increasingly important these days. In his taster lecture, Professor Dr. Tino Schütte from the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG) explains how building energy balances are drawn up and what the industrial engineering course

Following the lecture, the students will have the opportunity to talk to Professor Schütte and students from two other universities in eastern Germany. In small groups or 1:1 discussions, they can find out all about choosing a degree course, starting their studies and student life. Campus specialists Johannes Herbrich (Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences), Maike Schneider (Ernst Moritz Arndt University of Greifswald) and René Komnick (Harz University of Applied Sciences) will also be present.
With the "Campus on Tour" campaign, the cross-state university marketing campaign "My Campus from Studying in the Far East" brings the attractive study programs offered by East German universities directly to West German schools. From mid-May to the beginning of July 2015, lecturers and student advisors from East German universities will be visiting twelve schools in Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Hesse and Bavaria. So that the pupils can also exchange ideas about studying and life in East Germany at eye level, so-called campus specialists will also be on site. These are student ambassadors from the East German universities.
