The "Future Factory Lausitz" advertises with a new video.
A major research center for water, energy, and food—with the participation of HSZG—is set to provide solutions for global resource demands in the future. To this end, the “Zukunftsfabrik Lausitz” was proposed to the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, as previously reported here.
This is a model in which the water, energy, and plant factory will combine state-of-the-art technologies and circular economy principles on a real-world scale to drastically reduce the consumption of water, energy, and usable space. The initiative will draw on the expertise and infrastructure available in the Lausitz region.
The goal of this strong consortium of Saxon research institutions and numerous supporters from the business community and the region is to use the new “Zukunftsfabrik Lausitz” to find groundbreaking solutions to challenges that are on the global agenda and are particularly evident in Saxony’s coal-mining region.
The project partners are pleased to now release the application video, which provides deeper insights into the “Zukunftsfabrik Lausitz.”
