Opposites attract!
In the Alumni Talk, two former students talk about how they found their personal happiness at the HSZG.
In the run-up to the University Information Day at HSZG in January, host Victoria Hohlfeld spoke with HSZG alumni about why studying at HSZG is worthwhile.
Today, Maria and Philipp Israel share their experiences with their studies and life at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.
Maria studied culture and management, and Philipp studied Business Administration at HSZG. The two met while in college, got married, had a child together, and now even work at the same company. It’s a fairy-tale story. In this interview, you’ll learn, among other things, that opposites really do attract—after all, Maria went abroad right after graduating from high school, while Philipp stayed put in Upper Lusatia!
They also address the question of whether there ever comes a moment in your professional life when you realize why you learned all those things in college—or whether the cliché “I’ll never need that again anyway!” turns out to be true. Here’s a little spoiler: Both are still glad they chose the HSZG a few years ago, and that decision ultimately paved the way for good careers in the region.
