New application phase for the Deutschlandstipendium starts. Apply online from July 1!
Attention prospective students and students of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences!
Would you like 300 euros a month to help you concentrate fully on your studies? Would you like recognition for your academic achievements and social commitment? Or has life presented you with special challenges that you have to overcome alongside your education?
Then take the opportunity to apply for one of our coveted Germany Scholarships at your university in Zittau/Görlitz. From July 1 to August 16, 2021, it's that time again. The new application phase starts. And for the tenth time. Because this year we are celebrating 10 years of the Deutschlandstipendium!
You can only apply for a Deutschlandstipendium online. The online application portal provided by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research is available for this purpose.
At the start of the application period, an external link will appear on our website which will take you to the DSTIP application server. It will be activated at the beginning of the application period from July 1 (9:00 a.m.) to August 16, 2021 (11:59 p.m.).
Your application must be completely uploaded to the application portal with all necessary attachments within this time window. Only then will it be valid and processed accordingly.
Students at the HSZG are currently experiencing an exciting but also challenging summer semester in times of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is also the case for our current scholarship holders. Without further ado, they adapted their often voluntary activities in associations or their internal university commitments to the current situation.
Jamel Rejeb Bibani was no exception. The 22-year-old KIA student continues his involvement with the volunteer fire department online and instructs young people in guidelines and behavior to prepare them for emergencies. Although the active show jumper Victoria Otto currently has to give up riding tournaments, she remains active as an event manager in her riding club to ensure the promotion of young talent.
Even if social commitment in clubs and associations or active participation, e.g. in internal university committees, should be put on hold due to the pandemic, it is always worth applying.
The Deutschlandstipendium amounts to 300 euros per month. 150 of this is provided by private sponsors such as companies, foundations, alumni and other private individuals. The other 150 euros are paid by the federal government. The Deutschlandstipendium is paid directly to the scholarship holders by the universities. The funding is awarded irrespective of income and can also be received in addition to BAföG. The regular approval period covers one academic year (01.09.2021 - 31.08.2022).
You can find more information about your online application, the selection criteria and the necessary application documents here.
We look forward to receiving your applications!
