Would you like to receive 300 euros a month to help you focus fully on your studies? Do you want recognition for your academic achievements and your social engagement? Or has life presented you with special challenges that you need to overcome while pursuing your education?
Then take advantage of this opportunity and submit an application for one of our highly sought-after Germany Scholarships at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. From July 1 through August 16, 2021, it’s that time again. The new application period begins—and this marks the tenth time. That’s right—this year we’re celebrating 10 years of the Germany Scholarship!
Applications for a Germany Scholarship must be submitted exclusively online. You can use the online application portal provided by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research for this purpose.
When the application period begins, an external link will appear on our website that will take you to the DSTIP application server. It will be activated at the start of the application period, from July 1 (9:00 a.m.) through August 16, 2021 (11:59 p.m.).
Your application must be uploaded to the application portal in its entirety, including all required attachments, within this time frame. Only then will it be considered valid and processed accordingly.

Students at HSZG are currently experiencing an exciting but also challenging summer semester amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The same is true for our current scholarship recipients. Without hesitation, they adapted their often volunteer work in clubs or their involvement on campus to the current circumstances.
Jamel Rejeb Bibani is one such student. The 22-year-old KIA student is continuing his volunteer work with the volunteer fire department online, teaching young people about guidelines and proper behavior to prepare them for emergencies. Although active show jumper Victoria Otto currently has to forgo horseback riding competitions, she remains active in her riding club as an event manager to ensure the development of young talent.
Even if social engagement in clubs and associations or active participation—for example, in university committees—has been put on hold due to the pandemic, submitting an application is always worthwhile.
The Deutschlandstipendium amounts to 300 euros per month. Of this amount, 150 euros are provided by private sponsors such as companies, foundations, alumni, and other private individuals. The remaining 150 euros are provided by the federal government. The Deutschlandstipendium is paid directly to the recipients by the universities. The grant is awarded regardless of income and can also be received in addition to BAföG (German financial aid for students). The standard award period covers one academic year (September 1, 2021 – August 31, 2022).
