All transfer, or what?
“That little bit of knowledge transfer isn’t a problem, says my boss. That little bit of knowledge transfer can’t be that bad, says my boss.”
Taking a cue from Johanna von Koczian’s pop song, this afternoon we’re asking how things are going with knowledge transfer—that important yet elusive and hard-to-measure good. There’s room here for the everyday challenges faced by people involved in research, outreach, or the implementation of innovations into their companies’ processes. But the broader picture is also covered—following the welcome address by the Vice Rector for Research, Prof. Raj Kollmorgen—with an opening lecture by Bill Pottharst, who tackles nothing less than the question of the themes of “knowledge transfer of the future.”
Following that, we are pleased to welcome
Leonie Liemich (Life and Technology Project)
Matthias Weber (Director of the Dreiländereck Adult Education Center)
Prof. Jens Weber (Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences)
Bill Pottharst (Saxony5 project staff member and AAL lab director)
Katja Müller (member of the Competence Center for Public Economy, Infrastructure, and Public Services e.V.)
to a panel discussion, which will open to the floor after approximately 30 minutes so that all event participants can share their experiences and ideas.
Anyone who would like to continue the discussion is welcome to do so afterward—while maintaining appropriate social distancing—over light refreshments in the auditorium.
The event from the lecture hall will be streamed for anyone who cannot attend in person:
